About

Relax Gaming partnered with Unibet with a common goal in mind: to make poker fun again!

That’s not to say poker, at its core, isn’t an enjoyable game, as there are an estimated 40 million people that play online poker on a regular basis. What the creators of Unibet Poker mean, is that their offering is the perfect place for the more casually minded poker player to enjoy a few rounds, without having to worry about professionals scooping every pot.

As the developer of this platform states:

“Unibet Poker is a radically simplified poker experience, offering a level playing field for all types of poker players”.

The level playing field that they speak of is referring to the fact that unlike a number of other poker platforms, Unibet Poker has issued a ban on the use of poker tracking software. What recreational players may not be aware of, is that some of the more seasoned veterans use this type of software to analyse their own play and to also determine trends of other players.

By removing this capability, Unibet Poker ensures an environment in which poker players of all abilities can sit down at the table and have fun.

That sense of fun is apparent straight away, due to the whacky range of colourful avatars you can select from. So, pick the one that best represents you and be dealt in at the tables for endless hours of enjoyment!

How To Sign Up?

Opening an account with Unibet Poker is a very straight forward process, which only takes a matter of minutes.

Enter all of the relevant information and then you will be asked to secure your account with a password and security question.

After doing this all you have to do is accept the terms and conditions, decide whether to opt into the Unibet Poker bonus and make your first deposit!

Poker Variants

As expected, at Unibet Poker two of the most popular variants of poker are available – Texas Hold’em and Omaha. There’s also an additional poker game called Banzai, which players can try out if they want a new and exciting experience.

You can be dealt into the action at a number of different tables, where you choose what type of game to play, whether it be: sit & go’s, multi-table tournaments, satellites and rebuy tournaments or the unique jackpot sit & go variation – HexaPro.

Also, for breaks between cash games or tournaments, there’s a variety of different casino mini games to play, all of which have been seamlessly integrated into the Unibet Poker client. There are a number of colourful and immersive video slots to spin away on or if you prefer to stick with the table game theme, you can try your hand at blackjack.

Texas Hold’em

No Limit Texas Hold’em is arguably the preeminent variation of poker worldwide. Loved by players from all around the globe and of different skill levels, this game showcases what poker is all about.

No Limit is the only variant of Texas Hold’em that is available at Unibet Poker and stakes range from €0.02/0.04 to €4/8. There are tables which can seat up to 6 or 9 players at a given time, but finding a fully occupied table at the higher stakes may be difficult during more unsociable hours.

Omaha

In this version of poker, players will be dealt 4 hole cards, instead of the 2 when playing texas hold’em. The aim of the game is still the same, to make the best possible hand with your available cards. However, players can only use 2 of their hole cards, along with 3 of the community cards to form their potentially winning hand.

As this is considerably less popular than Texas Hold’em, you will usually find fewer players at these tables. When you do find a game, bear in mind that at Unibet Poker, their version of Omaha is solely a pot-limit game, so you can only ever bet up to the current contents of the pot in play.

Again, the available stakes range between: €0.02/0.04 and €4/8.

Banzai

Banzai is the new and exciting variation of no limit texas hold’em on offer at Unibet Poker. All of the same rules of no limit hold’em apply, but the major difference is that at these tables you can only buy-in with ten big blinds.

Due to the maximum stakes being €0.10/0.20, the maximum amount of money you will be able to bring to a Banzai table is €2. This makes for an entirely different dynamic due to the smaller chip stacks, so gameplay can be rather erratic.

If you consider yourself to be a skilled poker player, Banzai may not appeal to you initially, but we definitely think it’s worth trying out before passing judgement.

HexaPro

In 2018, Unibet Poker launched a unique jackpot sit & go game called HexaPro. Fast-paced texas hold’em action combines with the thrill of winning massive jackpots at these tables. You can select from 7 different buy-ins and play for a cash pot worth up to 1,000 times your stake!

To add an extra element of excitement, each HexaPro has a random prize pool, ranging from 1.5x to 1,000x your buy-in. You’ll never know how much your game will be multiplied by until it begins.

A €1 buy-in could potentially offer a €1,000 prize fund, and at the highest level, buying in for €100 could mean a €100,000 pot!

The winner of each HexaPro will win the entire prize pool if the multiplier is less than or equal to 10 times the buy-in. In any other case, the winner earns 80%, 2nd earns 12% and 3rd earns 8%.

Buy-ins available are: €1, €2, €5, €10, €25, €50 and €100.

Unibet Poker Rewards Programme

Poker reward programmes are typically much the same. The one available at Unibet Poker, however, is rather different.

Their unique Poker Challenges can reward you for the simplest of tasks, such as being dealt a pair. With each and every type of poker, you’ll always have 2 challenges active, one minor and one major. Both of these will be split into steps, which is how many times you will need to complete a task before your challenge points are awarded.

Minor challenges are understandably the easiest, with such tasks as being dealt a suited hand required to complete them. Whereas the major challenges usually require a bit more strategy to complete, for example: ‘Win a hand postflop when you have any hand worse than a pair’.

When playing at a multi-table tournament, these challenges won’t be in effect. Instead, you’ll receive challenge points directly – 100 points for every €1 you spend in tournament fees.

As you accumulate more and more challenge points, you’ll eventually be able to exchange them for a range of fantastic prizes, including: free cash, playthrough bonuses, poker tickets, new avatars and bonus points!

Maximum Win

For the majority of the poker variants available at Unibet Poker, the maximum win is entirely dependant on each individual hand.

But when it comes to Unibet Poker’s HexaPro, there are quantifiable amounts that you can win, depending on your buy-in. These are listed in the table below:

Buy-in Maximum Potential Win
€1 €1,000
€2 €2,000
€5 €5,000
€10 €10,000
€25 €25,000
€50 €50,000
€100 €100,000

Unibet Poker on Mobile

One thing that Unibet Poker offers, that not many other poker sites do, is downloadable software for PC and Mac players, as well as downloadable apps for mobile gamers.

The Unibet Poker app, which is available on both Android and iOS, essentially has all of the same features as the desktop version. You’ll be able to play both cash and ring games, advance through the rewards programme and play on up to 5 tables simultaneously on certain devices!

The visuals are equally impressive also, the Unibet Poker app has been optimised for the smaller screen, so no quality has been lost throughout its transition from desktop to mobile.

The only downside is that this app is exclusive to Android and iOS devices, so if you’re using a different device, you’ll have to navigate to their website via a HTML5 compatible browser in order to play.

Xpert Review and Rating

Even though Unibet Poker has been geared towards casual poker fans, players of all skill levels will thoroughly enjoy their time here. Just because this poker platform focuses on fun, doesn’t mean that the full poker experience isn’t at hand. There are still many opponents to best and plenty of money to be won!

We love the fact that they’ve removed the ability to use poker tracking software and HUDs. An environment where only your skill and intuition can guide you to victory is one that we think embodies the true nature of poker. Maybe you should have folded that 7, 2 offsuit, but there was a niggling sensation in the back of your mind that told you to hold on to it – that’s what poker is about!

The different variants on offer should please many fans from the world of poker. Whether you prefer Texas Hold’em or Omaha, you can jump right into the action. We must say, that the hyperspeed HexaPro games are truly something to behold. Fast action, quick decision making and random prize pools make for an absolute poker spectacle, so definitely try that out!

All in all, Unibet Poker is a fantastic platform on which to play poker. Whilst the lower stake limits may put some people off, this well-rounded poker platform has more than enough to make up for that potential issue.

We, at GambleXpert, certainly recommend trying Unibet Poker today!
